Who We Are

Bloomline Garden is developed and published by SoftEmber Games, a solo independent studio based in Sweden (Enskild Firma). We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this application.

Section 2

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the game and improve the experience.

  • Device information — device model, OS version, Android Advertising ID, screen resolution, and language setting.
  • Usage and analytics data — session duration, game progress, levels completed, in-game actions, and feature usage events (see Section 3).
  • Ad interaction data — whether a rewarded ad was shown, completed, or skipped; interstitial impressions. Processed by our advertising partners (see Section 5).
  • Purchase records — Google Play processes all transactions. We receive only entitlement confirmation (e.g. "Remove Ads purchased"). We never receive or store your payment card details.
  • Crash and diagnostic data — error reports and device state at the time of a crash.

We do not collect your name, email address, precise GPS location, or any information you have not actively provided. The game does not require account registration.

The following game events are logged to help us understand how the game is played and where it can be improved. No personally identifiable information is attached beyond a randomised session or device identifier.

Section 4

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving Bloomline Garden
  • Diagnosing crashes and fixing bugs
  • Measuring game balance and tuning the economy (Petal earn rates, progression pacing)
  • Displaying ads via our advertising partners (see Section 5)
  • Verifying and restoring in-app purchases (e.g. Remove Ads) after reinstall
  • Sending push notifications if you have granted permission (Update 1 onwards)

We do not use your data for direct marketing emails, behavioural profiling for third-party advertising, or any purpose unrelated to operating this game.

Bloomline Garden integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.


Section 6

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity — processing required to provide the game (save data, entitlement verification, crash diagnosis).
  • Legitimate interests — analytics used to improve the game, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent — personalised advertising via AdMob, and push notifications, where we ask permission before processing begins. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — retaining records where required by Swedish or EU law.

Section 7

Data Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained for up to 14 months, after which they are automatically deleted or anonymised by our analytics provider. Purchase records are retained as long as necessary to fulfil your entitlement and meet legal accounting obligations. Local save data (game progress, garden layout) is stored on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.


Section 8

Children's Privacy

Bloomline Garden is rated for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law, including within the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@softembergames.com and we will delete it promptly.


Section 9

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON) where technically feasible.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for personalised ads or push notifications at any time via your device settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@softembergames.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in Sweden, this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).


Section 10

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal data. The categories of data we collect are described in Section 2. To exercise your California rights, contact privacy@softembergames.com.


Section 11

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we process, including HTTPS transport for all network communications and server-side purchase verification. No method of internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously.


Section 12

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a notice within the app. Continued use of Bloomline Garden after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
